Tucson Arizona Run 4-26/27-08 Day 16/17 Pt. I

On Saturday 4-26-08, we planned a run to Mt. Lemmon, a popular ski lodge at an elevation of around 9,000 ft. This is a pic of Dale in front of Bill's house as we got ready to depart...REMEMBER: if ya want to see it bigger, click on the picture..

I thought these skull bolts on Dale's Harley were cool

Here is Dale & Bill out front as we head to Mt. Lemmon

Dale & Bill as we head up the mountain

Me at the 4,000 ft point

Me at the 7,000 ft mark

Some lunatic trying to steal Miss Clone as Bill attempts to stop the insanity. All he needed to do was ask me & I would've swapped Miss Clone for his Harley Fatboy..It would've broken my heart but I believe we could have reached an agreement..

Learning from Bill, I, too, am concerned with the plants & cactus in the desert. Here I do my part to give them much needed moisture..

Some Saguaro Cacti on the way up

Looking out over some of the mountains

Another Saguaro cactus, pronounced as"sue-war-oh" not "cigaro" like I thought..Did Bill & Dale give me a time over that one!!!

A view of greater Tucson from the mountains

This is the road we came up. This was taken at, I believe, 7,000 ft elevation..we still had 2,000 ft up to go.
This will conclude the final segment of the Tucson Arizona Run 2008. A great time, at some great places, with even greater friends..Could not have been better. Thanks guys for the good time and thank you Jackie for putting up with me for two weeks.....Cya next year for the Tucson Arizona Run 2009..............John
