Sissy's Talimena National Scenic Byway Run 14/15 Jun 08

This past weekend, 14/15 Jun 2008, Sissy, her husband Steve and Jim, took a spur of the moment run up to Winding Stair National Recreation Area & the Talimena National Scenic Byway, which is in Eastern Oklahoma & runs to the Arkansas Border. For more information on the area, click the following link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winding_Stair_Mountain_National_Recreation_Area

Upon returning to Texas, Sissy sent me the following pictures of this scenic run. Sissy advises that they will do this run again and do a longer version of it. I hope to get invited to go because the area is beautiful & great motorcycle riding country. Sissy has given me permission to use her pics on this special post, so without further ado, scroll down & enjoy the pics of this scenic ride. Steve & Jim at the Arkansas State Line. Say what you will about Arkansas, but it is a very scenic state...

On the way back home they stopped to cool down & get a cold drink..I don't know what the temperature was up in the mountains, but it was 103 degrees here in Wichita Falls, home to the three adventurers.

Jim & Steve taking a breather & enjoying a nice cold coke. That will do it for this post. Thanks again for sending those pics, Sissy, and letting me put them on the blog..I look forward to our next run as always. Til the next post/run, scroll on down & enjoy other biker events and visit the older posts for even more...Ya'll ride safe & keep the rubber on the road.........JOHN
