We met at the Wal-Mart on Southwest Parkway in Wichita Falls Texas at 0900 hrs. with KSU at 0915 hrs. Here are: Lacy, Steve, Jim (our road Captain), Clint & David

Jim, Steve & Lacy (at saddlebags) talk prior to departure from the Wal-Mart parking lot.

We get ready to go: Steve, Lacy (getting on bike), Clint, David & Jim.

And away we go..Here is Jim, our Road Captain, leading us..

Jim southbound on US 281.

We get about 20 miles or so to Scotland Texas and have to stop for road construction. Pictured are: part of Steve & Lacy, David on the white Goldwing & Clint on the yellow bike

Here are Lacy & Steve at the first gas stop in Jacksboro Texas

David at the gas pumps..We topped off at all the stops..Didn't want to run out of gas..

Jim & Clint southbound..

Another of the Southbound Blue Knights

We stop and Jim grins and asks: "You got your rain gear"? My reply: "Not with me. It's back in the garage at the house..Why"?...

This is why...We looked like drowned rats on a sinking ship..Somewhere up ahead through, that windshield is Jim & Clint..My sunglasses got wet & fogged up & I had to pull over to clean them off...

I catch up with the others as they pulled off the road. Jim, David & Clint..Clint & Jim got the worse of it..I asked Jim why he didn't pull over and put on his rainsuit & he said because no one else had one...

Here is Lacy, semi-dry because Steve blocked most of it from her. But from knees down, she was wet like the rest of us.

Here are Steve, Jim, David & Clint on the side of the road in Stephenville. David said that it was a nice 10 mile shower..We clean our glasses, face shields & windshields and head down the street to our destination.....

The Hard Eight Pit BBQ restaurant..

They even had a corral for the bikes..

Inside the Hard Eight, in line to order..

Here is the BBQ pit where you got your food from..I had brisket & sausage & it was delicious, just like everyone said it would be.

After pigging out, we get ready to leave the Hard Eight. Here is Jim, Clint, Lacy, Steve & David

Here is David rolling down the road as we head out for Graham Texas.

Here is Steve & Lacy heading North

Jim waves as we head North

The view behind of Steve/Lacy, Clint & David

Clint Northbound towards Graham Texas

Jim Northbound on the road. That backrest he has, is great for the road, according to him, Russ & everyone else that has one..I will look into one on my next bike which will either be a Harley Road King , or a Vulcan Nomad.

Jim, out front & leading us North

Jim, heading to Graham

The view behind: Clint, Steve & Lacy and David bringing up the rear

Clint, Steve/Lacy & David continue to follow..Clint was starting to squirm a little and we started looking for a place to stop to stretch our legs & get something to drink

We cross into Eastland Texas and find a place to stop

We top at the Possum Kingdom General Store & Grill

We got our drinks & went to hang out on the picnic tables to rest talk & drink . Lacy walks back towards us after she talks a pic of the bikes

Here are Steve & Lacy. Janice (my wife) is Lacy's aunt and my kids first cousin..

Steve & Lacy at the PK General Store & Grill

How do you spell relief? Laying flat on a picnic bench works wonders after hours on the back of a motorcycle

Myself & Steve..We had a good time on this run..I wish more members could have come with us. They missed a good time

Laci is getting the kinks out of her back..She looks comfortable.

Jim & David get ready to saddle up & leave the PK General store & Grill

Jim & I at the general Store..Jim doesn't know what to think about my lizard imitation..

Leaving the PK General Store and Grill. Left to right: David, Jim, Clint, Lacy & Steve

The last picture of the day. On the Ft. Richardson Run post, you saw the Brazos River sign & the Brazos River. This is the Dam just on the other side of the river. I was going too fast on the last ride & missed this picture..So, thanks Jim for bringing us back through here..I got the pic this time..

This will conclude this post. I had a great time with some good friends, in a great club and on a fantastic, yet soggy, ride. Wouldn't have changed it at all.

Be sure to scroll on down for more rides/events & posts. Don't forget to click on the "older posts" link at the bottom of each page for more of the same. Until the next ride/event & post, ya'll be carful out there, don't leave your rainsuit behind. ride SAFE and keep the rubber on the road.....John aka "Snapshot"
