Impromptu Sunday 7-27-08 Part II

This is the continuation of "Impromptu Sunday 7-27-07". Scroll down for Part II and see why Janice wouldn't go, the meeting of the bikes at RRHD and the ride to the DQ in Holliday Texas. REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

As Janice & I headed home to pick up my bike, she flat refused to budge on her decision not to go out on the motorcycle with us..Here we are on Southwest Parkway approaching Fairway.

This is why she would not go. It was a little warm for her. Heck, the outside air temperature was only 107 degrees & it was around 3 p.m.

I went, got on my bike and headed out to meet the others. Here is our meeting place, Red River Harley Davidson in Wichita Falls Texas located at U.S. 287/City View. (http://redriverharley-davidson.com/)

Vicki's Harley (white) & Sissy's Harley (yellow) sit outside the gate of the Rider's Edge area.

Here are Steve, Sissy, Vicki & Debra. Notice they are standing in the coolness of the shade.. It was a freezing 103 degrees in the shade at least...

Steve shows off his 6-pack. He got all those scars from one heck of a motorcycle accident...

Steve (on the bike), Rodney, Rianne, Debra, Sissy Vicki & Pattie cool off in the shade...

Steve, Debra, Rianne & Kevin on the Harley.

The bikes even got some relief from the sun...

Rodney on his Harley..

Kevin & Debra's Harley. At least there was a wind blowing, by the looks of Kevin's flag. The wind made it more like a blast furnace..

Kevin on Pattie's Harley

Kevin, Pattie Rianne & Rodney at RRHD

As we leave RRHD to head to Lance's place, I follow Steve (up front) and Sissy westbound down U.S. 287. Pattie and Kevin & Debra were behind. Rodney, Rianne & Vicki took it to the house so as not to get heat stroke. I didn't blame them one bit..They were the sane ones of our group today...

We stopped at the 7-11 at FM 369 & U.S 287 for a cold drink break. Here are the bikes in front of said 7-11.

Steve's Harley, Sissy's Harley & Miss Clone at the 7-11..Miss Clone, my bike, is a Vulcan, thus the name....

This is Pattie's Harley with the seat covering & Kevin & Debra's Harley at the 7-11.

Enjoyed cold water, soda & Gatorade inside under the a/c. Steve, Debra, Pattie & Kevin.

Sissy, Steve Debra & Pattie inside the 7-11.

Debra enjoys a cold bottle of water..

We left the 7-11 & went to Lance's place. He was not there but at the DQ in Holliday Texas, waiting for us. So, here we are rolling down the road enroute to Holliday. Out front is Sissy, followed by Steve, Pattie, Kevin & Debra & me taking the pictures..

Heading South on FM 368. Same order, Sissy, Steve, Pattie & Kevin & Debra..

Still on FM 368..

Last one taken on FM 368 as we near Holliday Texas

Inside the DQ: Sissy & Kevin

Pattie thinking about drenching Sissy with a glass of cold water..Sissy had put ice cubes down the back of Pattie's pants

The table: Lance & Debra, Pattie & Kevin

Lance & Debra react to Pattie getting ready to pour water on Sissy. Don't worry, it never happened..

Kevin, Pattie & Lance...

Kevin & Pattie, as Pattie attempts to remove the ice cubes from the back of her pants that Sissy put there. However, the ice melted very quickly...

The bikes at the DQ in Holliday Texas..

Bikes Left to right: Sissy's, Steve's, Pattie's & Kevin & Debra's. All big Harley's.

Here is one of Lance's Harley's. I think he said this was his fun Harley

Lance's Harley at the DQ.

We left the DQ and headed back to Wichita Falls. Here is a picture of Lance rolling East on US 82.
