Blue Knights Tx XX "Just Casual Ride" 8-13-08

Today, Wednesday, 8-13-08, the Blue Knights Tx XX had its "Just Casual Ride". We went from Wichita Falls Tx, to the Biker Roadhouse in St. Jo, Texas and then on down the road to Lindsay, Texas to The SmokeHouse for lunch. On the way back, the group stopped at the DQ in Henrietta, Texas but I did not stop as I had an appointment back in Wichita Falls. David was the Road Captain for this ride and Doug brought up the rear as tail gunner. Scroll down and see the ride and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE IT BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

We met at Love's truck stop at 0915 hrs and went ksu at 0930 hrs. Here is Steve by his bike at Love's. To his right are Doug & Vicki and over his left shoulder is Richard, Robbie, Helen, Mike & David...

Some of the bikes and Richard, Helen, Robbie & Vicki at Love's.

Robbie is all smiles today and ready for the ride.

David, always ready to go anywhere, anytime is today's Road Captain

David, Richard, Helen & Vicki just prior to departure..

This is Bob. Bob is from Ft. Worth Texas enroute to Colorado for a month's R&R. That nice cool mountain air sure will be nice after the blast of heat we've had here in Texas this summer.. Ride Safe Bob & have a great time!!

Here is a view behind of Vicki, Richard & Helen and Doug as we roll South on Us 287

A view to the front of Steve, Mike & Robbie and David out front as we roll South on US 287

As we turn and head East on US 82, I get a picture of Vicki, Richard & Helen and Doug..

We arrive at The Biker Roadhouse in St. Jo, Texas. Here are a couple of our bikes out front. If they can sell the building, they are going to relocate to Nocona, Texas which is about 16 miles West. For more info on the Biker Roadhouse, click this link: http://www.bikerroadhouse.com/

Mike & Robbie & Doug were smart as they parked their Harley's in the shade. Those of us who didn't, got a warm greeting from our seats when we got on the bikes to leave..Don't take long for that black leather seat to heat up in this Texas sun...

Doug, kicked back in the shade at the Biker Roadhouse

My bike, David's bike & Steve's bike parked in the open. We got on to leave & instantly there was fried bacon & eggs....if ya catch my drift...

Vicki & I inside The Biker Roadhouse.

Doug & Robbie out in the parking lot.

The folks that make The Biker Roadhouse what it is: Whitney, Marcia & Vanese. Vanese said Toxie was at home working on some tack.

Doug & his Bike in the Parking Lot of the Smokehouse

The Smokehouse in Lindsay Texas. From US 82, The Smokehouse looks like a Sonic or A&W place. But attached out back is a huge dining room & I gotta tell you, that BBQ was fantastic and priced right. I will definitely be going back there. It's worth the trip. For directions & reviews of the Smokehouse, click this link: http://local.yahoo.com/info-18902043-smokehouse-lindsay

Doug is wearing his new levi vest he bought at The Biker Roadhouse. He was impressed with the price..

These are a couple of the waitresses at the smokehouse: Krystle & Marissa. They were busy and doing a great job the entire time we were there..

Steve is checking the menu. You really got a lot of food for the price and I thought it was priced low and those of you who know me know how much I like great food at low prices...

The Table: Robbie, Mike (orange shirt), Helen, Richard, and Vicki

The Table from the waitress back to the camera & around: Vicki, Richard, Helen, Mike, Doug, me & David

Vicki (cap), Richard & Helen at the table in The Smokehouse..

We left the Smokehouse & drove back to St. Jo to The Biker Roadhouse to see if they had any pin fasteners. They were out so we continued back to Wichita Falls. Here are Mike & Robbie and Richard & Helen. Richard & Helen are Robbie's parents.

David, Steve & Vicki in the shade before heading West. This was the last picture I took today. I had an appointment back in Wichita Falls, so I did not stop with the group in Henrietta Texas at the DQ for a drink break. But Steve was also taking pictures and as soon as he sends me his, I will do a post of the ride with his pictures for you.

This will conclude this post of the Blue Knights Tx XX "Just Casual Ride". I had a good time, as always, riding with good friends, in a great state and found a great place to go eat. Scroll down and see more rides, events & posts and don't forget to click on the "older posts" link at the bottom of EACH page for more posts back to January 08..Until next post, ya'll be careful out there, ride safe and keep the rubber on the road........JOHN
